im not into kernel compiling, but im a huge fan of this little device.
Will there be a ready-to-use image or beginners guide soon?
There's a preview image released but USB does not work yet in this image. It is a server image so there's no GUI.
I just received the AML SBC today and I hate when they arrive without any documentation. What I hate worse is when they arrive without any support at all. All of these boards must have a community to support the systems. I know you folks were in a huge hurry to push these out to us pleading customers but you could maybe post a few schematics, maybe a diagram or two, anything. Posting a half backed image is a bad idea because too many new users will grab that image and attempt to configure it as if it were a bootable image. For the dev folks, give us something to chew on until we can get an image that makes everything world in a pretty GUI (otherwise why bother with the HDMI ports at all). Thank you for getting the boards out quickly but the support community is just as important as the build itself.
@BMonroe The image we released has everything working except 3D and codec. It's a server image so we didn't install a framebuffer desktop on it. You don't really have a community when people are just receiving the the boards.
